Women conference: Raising the Amazons

This year edition of Every Woman, A Minister Conference” of The Redeemed Evangelical Mission (TREM) tagged “Raising the Amazon” was marked in high spirit, as women in their thousands travelled from far and wide to attend the 21st edition of the Conference. Held at the ministry headquarters in Lagos from 22 through 27 June, this year’s conference featured several ministers of the gospel who brought prophetic messages of hope to the body of Christ, and particularly to the women folk.

These ministers of God notably Rev. Obii Pax-Harry of Resurrection Life Assembly, Birmingham UK ; Minister Genet Chenier from USA; the host of the conference, Bishop Peace Okonkwo; and The Presiding Bishop, of TREM Dr. Mike Okonkwo; all seemed to agree, through their messages, that the church was in a dispensation where God is using the women folk to accomplish a significant part of His purpose throughout the globe.

A session was also held to discuss issues bordering on work-life balance.

Other highlights of the conference were the presentation of 19 manual type writers, 3 Perkins brailer machines to the students of Bethsaida Home for the blind,Yaba, Lagos. Food items, and relief materials were also presented to the Vigilant Home and Love World Orphanage Lagos

Workshop was also held to teach women on practical things like cooking and serving different dishes; how to dress the bed and set dinning amongst other things.

Notable personalities who graced the conference were Apostle Yemi Adefarasin, Wife of the Former Governor of Lagos state, Chief Mrs. Oluremi Tinubu and other eminent personalities.
